ශ්‍රී ලංකාව සහ ඉන්දියාව අතර පවතින දිගුකාලීන හා ශක්තිමත් සබඳතා වඩාත් ඵලදායී ආර්ථික හවුල්කාරිත්වයක් බවට පරිවර්තනය කරමින් ආයෝජන , කර්මාන්ත සහ නවෝත්පාදන ක්ෂේත්‍රයන්හි සහයෝගීතාව තවත් පුළුල්කළ යුතු බව සෞඛ්‍ය හා ජනමාධ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය වෛද්‍ය නලින්ද ජයතිස්ස මහතා අවධාරණය කළේය . අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව සඳහන් කර සිටියේ ලංකා ඉන්දියා ව්‍යාපාරික සංගමය (Lanka India Business Association – LIBA) විසින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද “ India Calling” – ශ්‍රී ලංකා – ඉන්දියා ආර්ථික සබඳතා ශක්තිමත් කිරීම අරමුණු කරගත් ව්‍යාපාරික සැසි යේ සමාරම්භක අවස්ථාවට ප්‍රධාන ආරාධිත අමුත්තා ලෙස එක්වෙමිනි . අද (06) දිනය පුරා මෙම ව්‍යාපාරික සැසිය කොළඹ ටාජ් සමුද්‍රා හෝටලයේ දී පැවැත්වෙන අතර , ශ්‍රී ලංකාව සහ ඉන්දියාව අතර ආර්ථික සබඳතා තවදුරටත් ශක්තිමත් කිරීම , නව ආයෝජන අවස්ථා හඳුනා ගැනීම , කුඩා හා මධ්‍ය පරිමාණ ව්‍යවසායකයන් සඳහා කලාපීය වෙළෙඳපොළ අවස්ථා පුළුල් කිරීම කර්මාන්ත සහ ව්‍යාපාරික සහයෝගීතාව පුළුල් කිරීම මෙන්ම දෙරටේ ව්‍යාපාරික ප්‍රජාව අතර නව හවුල්කාරිත්වයන් ගොඩනැගීම මෙහි ප්‍රධාන අරමුණ වේ . ප්‍රතිපත්ති සම්පාදකයන් , ආයෝජකයන් , සහ ආර්ථික විද්වතුන්ගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් පැවැත්වෙන සාකච්ඡා , විශේෂ දේශන සහ ව්‍යාපාරික සම්බන්ධතා ගොඩනැගීමේ වැඩසටහන් රැසක් ද මෙහි සංවිධානය කර තිබේ . මෙහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා , ශ්‍රී ලංකාව වර්තමානයවන විට ආර්ථික අභියෝගයන්ගෙන් මිදීමේ ක්‍රියාවලියක පමණක් නොව , විනයගරුක , විනිවිදභාවයෙන් යුතු සහ ඵලදායී නව ආර්ථික පදනමක් ගොඩනගන තීරණාත්මක පරිවර්තනීය අවධියක සිටින බවද පැවසීය . යැපීම් මත පදනම් වූ ආර්ථික ආකෘතියකින් ඉවත්ව , වටිනාකම් නිර්මාණය කරන , අපනයන කේන්ද්‍රීය සහ නවෝත්පාදනය මත පදනම් වූ තරඟකාරී ආර්ථිකයක් ගොඩනැගීම රජයේ අරමුණ බවද අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහි දී සදහන් කර සිටියේය . ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට ඉන්දියාව හුදෙක් අසල්වැසි රාජ්‍යයක් පමණක් නොවන බවත් , ඉතිහාසය , භූගෝලීය සමීපතාව සහ අනාගත ආර්ථික අවස්ථා සමඟ බැඳුණු වැදගත් හවුල්කරුවෙකු බවත් අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහි දී පෙන්වා දුන්නේය . ශ්‍රී ලංකාව සහ ඉන්දියාව අතර පවතින ආර්ථික සබඳතා , වෙළෙඳ ගනුදෙනු ප්‍රමාණයන්ගෙන් ඔබ්බට ගෙන යමින් , නිෂ්පාදන දාම ශක්තිමත් කිරීම , කාර්මික සහයෝගීතාව වර්ධනය කිරීම , තාක්ෂණ හුවමාරුව සහ නව ආයෝජන අවස්ථා නිර්මාණය කිරීම සඳහා අවධානය යොමු කළ යුතු බව ද අමාත්‍යවරයා අවධාරණය කර සිටියේය . ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ උපාය මාර්ගික පිහිටීම , ඉන්දියානු සාගරයේ කේන්ද්‍රීය ස්ථානය සහ කලාපීය වෙළෙඳපොළ වෙත ඇති ප්‍රවේශය උපයෝගී කර ගනිමින් නිෂ්පාදන සහ සැපයුම් කේන්ද්‍රස්ථානයක් ලෙස සංවර්ධනය කිරීමේ හැකියාව පවතින බවද අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේය . ඖෂධ නිෂ්පාදනය , ඇඟලුම් , ආහාර සැකසුම් කර්මාන්තය , පුනර්ජනනීය බලශක්තිය සහ තාක්ෂණය ඇතුළු ක්ෂේත්‍ර ගණනාවක දෙරට අතර ඒකාබද්ධ ව්‍යාපාර සහ ආයෝජන සඳහා පුළුල් අවස්ථා පවතින බවද අමාත්‍ය වෛද්‍ය නලින්ද ජයතිස්ස මහතා පැවසීය . මෙහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා ආර්ථික වර්ධනයේ ප්‍රතිලාභ සමාජයේ සියලුම කොටස් වෙත ළඟා විය යුතු බවත් , කුඩා හා මධ්‍ය පරිමාණ ව්‍යවසායකයන් කලාපීය හා ජාත්‍යන්තර වටිනාකම් දාමයන් සමඟ සම්බන්ධ කිරීම අත්‍යවශ්‍ය බවත් පෙන්වා දුන්නේය . ව්‍යවසායකයන්ට අවශ්‍ය තාක්ෂණය , දැනුම , වෙළෙඳපොළ අවස්ථා සහ මූල්‍ය ප්‍රවේශය ලබාදීම තුළින් ඔවුන් ශක්තිමත් කිරීම සඳහා කලාපීය සහයෝගීතාව වැදගත් කාර්යභාරයක් ඉටු කරන බවද අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහිදී සඳහන් කළේය . ආයෝජකයන්ට අවශ්‍ය වන්නේ පොරොන්දු නොව , ස්ථාවරත්වය , විශ්වාසය සහ පැහැදිලි ප්‍රතිපත්ති පරිසරයක් බව අවධාරණය කළ අමාත්‍යවරයා , ව්‍යාපාර කිරීමට පහසු පරිසරයක් නිර්මාණය කිරීම රජයේ ප්‍රමුඛ වගකීමක් බව ද පැවසීය . රජයේ කාර්යභාරය වන්නේ ව්‍යාපාරික ක්ෂේත්‍රයට බාධා කිරීම නොව , ඔවුන්ට අවශ්‍ය පහසුකම් සැලසීම , පැහැදිලි ප්‍රතිපත්ති රාමුවක් සැපයීම සහ සාධාරණ තරඟකාරී පරිසරයක් නිර්මාණය කිරීම බවද අමාත්‍යවරයා අවධාරණය කළේය . “India Calling” වැනි ජාත්‍යන්තර මට්ටමේ සමුළු , සැසිවාර සාකච්ඡා සඳහා පමණක් සීමා නොවී , සැබෑ ආයෝජන , ව්‍යාපාරික හවුල්කාරිත්ව සහ ජනතාවට ප්‍රතිලාභ ගෙන දෙන ක්‍රියාකාරී ප්‍රතිඵල බවට පත්විය යුතු බවද අමාත්‍යවරයා මෙහි දී පැවසීය . හැකියාවන් පිළිබඳව පමණක් සාකච්ඡා කිරීමෙන් ඔබ්බට ගොස් , එම හැකියාවන් ප්‍රායෝගික ප්‍රතිඵල බවට පත් කිරීම සඳහා සියලු පාර්ශ්ව එක්ව කටයුතු කළ යුතු බවත් , ශ්‍රී ලංකාව ව්‍යාපාර සඳහා විවෘත රටක් පමණක් නොව , අර්ථවත් , තිරසර සහ අනාගතය ඉලක්ක කරගත් හවුල්කාරිත්වයන් ගොඩනැගීමට සූදානම් රටක් බවත් සෞඛ්‍ය හා ජනමාධ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය වෛද්‍ය නලින්ද ජයතිස්ස මහතා මෙහි දී වැඩිදුරටත් අවධාරණය කර සිටියේය . මෙම අවස්ථාවට සංචාරක නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය මහාචාර්ය රුවන් රණසිංහ , ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ඉන්දීය මහ කොමසාරිස් සන්තෝෂ් ජා , නවසීලන්ත මහ කොමසාරිස් ඩේවිඩ් පයින් (David Pine), බ්‍රිතාන්‍යයේ නියෝජ්‍ය මහ කොමසාරිස් තෙරේසා ඕ ' මහෝනි (Theresa O’Mahony), ජපාන බාහිර වෙළෙඳ සංවිධානය (JETRO) නියෝජිත ඩයිසුකේ ෂිකාමා (Daisuke Shikama), පුරාවෘත්ත හා මිථ්‍යා විද්‍යා විශේෂඥ දේවදත් පට්නායික් (Devdutt Pattanaik), ලංකා – ඉන්දීය ව්‍යාපාරික සංගමයේ (LIBA) සභාපති සන්තෝෂ් මෙනන් , ඉන්දීය සැලසුම් කොමිෂන් සභාවේ හිටපු නියෝජ්‍ය සභාපති මොන්ටෙක් සිං අහලුවාලියා (Montek Singh Alhuwalia), භූදේශපාලන විද්වත් මහාචාර්ය සී . රාජා මෝහන් (Prof. C. Strengthening Economic Ties: Sri Lanka and India Explore New Investment Opportunities Highlighting the growing and robust relationship between Sri Lanka and India, Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa emphasized the importance of translating these ties into productive economic partnerships. He underscored the need for expanded collaboration in the industrial and innovation sectors. This statement was made during the inaugural session of the “India Calling” business conference organized by the Lanka India Business Association (LIBA), which aims to strengthen economic relations between the two nations. Today, the conference is taking place at the Taj Samudra Hotel in Colombo, with discussions focused on further enhancing economic connections, identifying new investment opportunities, and broadening market access for micro, small, and medium enterprises. The primary objective is to foster industrial cooperation and establish new partnerships between the business communities of both countries. Involving policymakers, investors, and economists, the event features numerous discussions, including keynote addresses and programs aimed at building business networks. Dr. Jayatissa further asserted that Sri Lanka is not merely navigating economic challenges but is at a transformational phase to create a sustainable and efficiently functioning new economic foundation. He noted that the country is shifting away from a consumption-based economic model to one that focuses on value creation, driven by exports and innovation. The minister highlighted the need for a competitive economy that prioritizes the establishment of a stable, trustworthy, and transparent policy environment. He reiterated the government’s commitment to creating a conducive business environment as a primary responsibility. Regarding the enduring economic relationship between Sri Lanka and India, he asserted that India is not just a neighboring state; it is a crucial partner linked by history and geography, poised for future economic opportunities. Dr. Jayatissa called for renewed focus on enhancing trade volumes, strengthening production costs, advancing industrial cooperation, and creating avenues for technology transfers and new investment opportunities. Referring to Sri Lanka's strategic geographical positioning in the Indian Ocean, he noted the potential to develop the nation as a production and supply hub for regional markets. Minister Jayatissa also pointed out that there are extensive opportunities for collaborative business and investments between the two nations across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, textiles, food processing industries, renewable energy, and technology. He articulated the vision that the benefits of economic growth must reach all segments of society, stressing the need for small and medium enterprises to connect with regional and international value chains. In conclusion, Minister Jayatissa stressed that investors seek not only commitments but also stability, trust, and clarity in policies, asserting that the government’s role is to ensure an environment conducive to business.
