Investigation Launched Against MP Ramnathan Archuna Over Alleged Support for LTTE The Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) has initiated a thorough inquiry concerning Parliamentarian Dr. Ramnathan Archuna, following allegations that he expressed support for the banned terrorist organization, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), during a public rally organized by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya in Anuradhapura. This investigation, confirming actions based on explicit directives from Inspector General of Police C.D. Wickramaratne, aims to address serious claims coming from civil activists, who filed a complaint stating that Archuna's remarks promoted and honored the LTTE. As the LTTE remains outlawed in Sri Lanka, any form of endorsement or support for such an organization is considered a grave offense under the law. The TID's operations are focused on maintaining national security and ensuring that such actions are dealt with lawfully.
