හිටපු නාවික හමුදාපති වසන්ත කරන්නාගොඩ සහ හිටපු ජනාධිපති මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ පුත් යෝෂිත රාජපක්ෂ යන මහත්වරුන්ට එරෙහිව අල්ලස් හෝ දූෂණ චෝදනා විමර්ශන කොමිෂන් සභාව (31) කොළඹ මහාධිකරණය හමුවේ අධිචෝදනා ගොනු කරමින් නඩු පවරන ලදී. නිසි අධ්‍යාපන සුදුසුකම් නොමැති අවස්ථාවක යෝෂිත රාජපක්ෂ මහතා නාවික හමුදාවට බඳවා ගැනීම සහ නියමිත පරිපාටියෙන් බැහැරව බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය රාජකීය නාවික හමුදා පුහුණුව සඳහා ඔහු යොමු කිරීම හරහා රජයට මූල්‍යමය පාඩුවක් සිදු කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් අධිචෝදනා අටක් යටතේ මෙම නඩුව පවරා ඇත. මෙහි පළමු විත්තිකරු ලෙස වසන්ත කරන්නාගොඩ මහතා ද, දෙවන විත්තිකරු ලෙස යෝෂිත රාජපක්ෂ මහතා ද නම් කර තිබේ. මෙම නඩුවට අදාළව සාක්ෂිකරුවන් 25 දෙනෙකුගේ නම් සහ සාක්ෂි ලේඛන 47ක් අල්ලස් කොමිසම විසින් අධිකරණයට ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇත. අල්ලස් පනතේ දූෂණය යන වරද සිදු කිරීම සහ ලංකා දණ්ඩ නීති සංග්‍රහය යටතේ වන වැරදි සිදු කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් විත්තිකරුවන්ට එරෙහිව මෙම චෝදනා ගොනු කර තිබේ. මීට පෙර කොළඹ මහේස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණය හමුවේ පැවති විමර්ශනවලදී අනාවරණය වී ඇත්තේ, 2006 සැප්තැම්බර් 01 වැනිදා සිට 2007 ජූනි 08 වැනිදා දක්වා කාලය තුළ සිදු වූ මෙම ක්‍රියාවලිය හේතුවෙන් රජයට රුපියල් හැට දෙලක්ෂ අසූ හතරදහස් දෙසිය දාහතයි ශත හැට එකක (රු. 6,284,217.61) මූල්‍ය අලාභයක් සිදුව ඇති බවයි. නිසි සුදුසුකම් රහිතව හමුදාවට බඳවා ගත් සැකකාර යෝෂිත රාජපක්ෂ මහතා විදේශ පුහුණුව සඳහා යොමු කිරීමෙන් මෙම පාඩුව සිදු කර ඇති බව අල්ලස් කොමිසම වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කරයි.
