මෙරට කෘෂිකර්මාන්තය නවීන තාක්ෂණයෙන් සන්නද්ධ කිරීම සඳහා මනසින් මෙහෙයවිය හැකි උසස් යන්ත්‍රසූත්‍ර පද්ධති හඳුන්වා දීමට රජය පියවර ගන්නා බව නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය ටී.බී. සරත් මහතා පවසයි. ජන හමුවක් අමතමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව සඳහන් කළේය. ලෝකයේ දියුණු රටවල් දැනටමත් කායික ශ්‍රමයෙන් මිදී මානසික ශ්‍රමය මත පදනම් වූ තාක්ෂණයන් භාවිතා කරන බව පෙන්වා දුන් අමාත්‍යවරයා, එවැනි නවීන යන්ත්‍රසූත්‍ර මෙරටට ගෙන්වීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් චීන රජය සමඟ දැනටමත් සාකච්ඡා පවත්වා ඇති බව ද අනාවරණය කළේය. ගොවීන් මුහුණ දෙන ගැටලු පිළිබඳව අදහස් දක්වමින් ඔහු කියා සිටියේ, නිෂ්පාදකයාට සාධාරණ මිලක් ලබා දීම මෙන්ම පාරිභෝගිකයාට සහනදායී මිලකට සහල් ලබා දීම යන කරුණු දෙකම සමබරව පවත්වාගෙන යාමට රජය කැපවී සිටින බවයි. "වී කිලෝවක මිල ඉහළ දැමීමට පමණක් ඉල්ලීම් කළත්, සහල් මිල ඉහළ ගියහොත් පාරිභෝගිකයාට සිදුවන අසාධාරණය පිළිබඳව ද අප අවධානය යොමු කළ යුතුයි. ඒ නිසා දෙපාර්ශවයටම සාධාරණය ඉටු වන ස්ථිරසාර විසඳුමක් කරා අප ගමන් කරනවා," යැයි ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසීය. පසුගිය පාලන සමයන්හිදී ගොවීන්ගේ ගැටලුවලට නිසි අවධානයක් යොමු නොවූ බවත්, වත්මන් රජය ගොවීන්ගේ වේදනාව හඳුනාගෙන ඔවුන්ට සවන් දෙන පාලනයක් බවත් අමාත්‍යවරයා අවධාරණය කළේය. එසේම, පස සරු කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය විද්‍යාත්මක දැනුම ගමට ගෙන යාම සහ නවීන නිෂ්පාදන උපකරණ ලබා දීම මගින් ගොවි ජනතාවගේ ජීවන තත්ත්වය උසස් කිරීමට කටයුතු කරන බව ද නියෝජ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය ටී.බී. සරත් මහතා මෙහිදී ප්‍රකාශ කළේය. Government to Introduce Advanced Mechanization in Agriculture The Sri Lankan government is set to implement sophisticated mechanization systems that can be operated through mental command, aimed at modernizing the agricultural sector, according to Deputy Minister T.B. Sarath. Speaking at a public meeting, the deputy minister highlighted the shift in developed countries towards technologies reliant on mental labor rather than physical effort. He revealed that discussions are currently ongoing with the Chinese government regarding the import of such cutting-edge machinery to Sri Lanka. Addressing the challenges faced by farmers, he emphasized the government’s commitment to balancing fair prices for producers while ensuring that consumers can obtain rice at reasonable prices. “While there may be demands to increase the price per kilogram of rice, we must also focus on the injustices that arise for consumers when rice prices rise. Therefore, we are working towards a sustainable solution that fulfills fairness for both parties,” he elaborated. Sarath pointed out that previous administrations failed to adequately address farmer issues, but the current government is committed to recognizing and responding to the pain experienced by farmers. He also stated that efforts will be made to enhance farmers' quality of life by bringing essential scientific knowledge to villages and providing them with modern production equipment. *Note: In case of any discrepancy between the Sinhala and English versions, the Sinhala version shall prevail.
