රජය නියම කර ඇති සහතික මිලට වී මිලදී ගැනීමට අපොහොසත් වන පෞද්ගලික මෝල් හිමියන් අසාදු ලේඛනගත කිරීමට පියවර ගන්නා බව කෘෂිකර්ම, පශු සම්පත්, ඉඩම් සහ වාරිමාර්ග අමාත්‍ය කේ.ඩී. ලාල් කාන්ත මහතා අවධාරණය කරයි. අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව සඳහන් කළේ දෙහිඅත්තකණ්ඩිය මහවැලි සාලිකා ශාලාවේදී පැවැති ගොවි හමුවකට එක්වෙමිනි. මෙහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා කියා සිටියේ, පෞද්ගලික අංශයට වී මිලදී ගැනීම සඳහා රජය මගින් සහනදායී ණය පහසුකම් ලබා දෙන්නේ රජයේ සහතික මිලට වී මිලදී ගැනීමේ කොන්දේසිය මත බවයි. එසේ තිබියදී ඇතැම් මෝල් හිමියන් සහතික මිලට වඩා අඩු මිලට වී මිලදී ගන්නා බවට තොරතුරු වාර්තා වන බවත්, එවැනි පුද්ගලයන්ට ඉදිරියේදී රජය සමග ගනුදෙනු කිරීමට ඇති අවස්ථාවන් අහිමි කරන බවත් ඔහු පැවසීය. රටේ කෘෂිකාර්මික ප්‍රතිපත්තියේ සිදුව ඇති වෙනස්කම් පිළිබඳව කරුණු දැක්වූ අමාත්‍යවරයා, මෙරට බඩඉරිඟු ගොවියා ආරක්ෂා කිරීම වෙනුවෙන් මේ වසරේ ආනයනය කිරීමට නියමිතව තිබූ බඩඉරිඟු මෙට්‍රික් ටොන් ලක්ෂ තුනක ප්‍රමාණය නතර කිරීමට රජය තීරණය කළ බව සඳහන් කළේය. මේ හේතුවෙන් සත්ත්ව ආහාර නිෂ්පාදකයන් මුහුණ දී ඇති අමුද්‍රව්‍ය හිඟයට විසඳුමක් ලෙස, සහල් වෙනත් නිෂ්පාදන සඳහා අමුද්‍රව්‍යයක් ලෙස භාවිත කිරීමට පනවා තිබූ තහනම ඉවත් කළ බවද ඔහු අනාවරණය කළේය. "සහල් වෙනත් නිෂ්පාදන සඳහා භාවිත කිරීම තහනම් කරමින් මීට පෙර නිකුත් කර තිබූ චක්‍රලේඛය අපි අහෝසි කළා. දැන් කිසිදු බාධාවකින් තොරව සත්ත්ව ආහාර හෝ වෙනත් නිෂ්පාදන සඳහා සහල් අමුද්‍රව්‍යයක් ලෙස භාවිත කරන්න පුළුවන්. එමගින් වී සඳහා පවතින ඉල්ලුම තවත් වැඩි වෙනවා," යැයි අමාත්‍යවරයා පැවසීය. එමෙන්ම පුරන් කුඹුරු අස්වැද්දීමේදී වී වගාවට පමණක් සීමා නොවී, බඩඉරිඟු වැනි අතිරේක බෝග වගා කිරීම කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කළ යුතු බවත්, වී අලෙවි මණ්ඩලයේ ගබඩා ධාරිතාව ඉදිරි කන්නයේදී තවදුරටත් වැඩි කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇති බවත් අමාත්‍ය ලාල් කාන්ත මහතා මෙහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කළේය. Government Warns Private Mill Owners Over Unauthorized Rice Purchases In a firm statement, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land, and Irrigation, K.D. Lal Kantha, emphasized the government's commitment to documentation against private mill owners who fail to purchase rice at government-specified rates. His remarks came during a farmer meeting held at the Mahaweli Sarika Hall in Dehiattakandiya. The Minister indicated that the government provides subsidized loan facilities for rice purchases with the condition that these transactions adhere to the stipulated prices. He raised concerns about certain mill owners reportedly acquiring rice at prices lower than the government-mandated rates, warning that such actions could jeopardize their future dealings with the government. Additionally, while discussing recent changes in the country's agricultural policies, the Minister revealed that the government has decided to halt the anticipated import of three hundred thousand metric tons of rice this year, aimed at protecting local paddy farmers. To address the shortage of raw materials faced by animal feed manufacturers, he also disclosed that the previous ban on using rice for other products has been lifted. "We have revoked the order that restricted rice usage for anything other than animal feed. Now, rice can be utilized freely for animal food and other products, further boosting demand," he noted. The Minister further advocated for diversifying cultivation, pointing out the need to focus not just on rice farming but also on supplementary crops like maize during the harvest cycle. He also highlighted plans to increase the storage capacity for harvested rice in the upcoming future, indicating a proactive approach towards enhancing the agricultural sector's efficiency. *Note: In case of any discrepancy between the Sinhala and English versions, the Sinhala version shall prevail.
