සොරකමක් සිදුකිරීමට පැමිණියේ යැයි පවසමින් පිරිසක් විසින් අල්ලා පොල් ගසක ගැටගසා පහරදීමෙන් තුවාල ලබා සිටි දිවයිනේ ලියාපදිංචි අපරාධකරුවෙකු රෝහල්ගතව ප්‍රතිකාර ලබමින් සිටියදී ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්ව ඇත. මෙම පහරදීම සහ මනුෂ්‍ය ඝාතනය සම්බන්ධයෙන් වයස අවුරුදු 25, 23 සහ 31 යන වියෙහි පසුවන සැකකරුවන් තිදෙනෙකු නිකවැරටිය, කොබෙයිගනේ පොලිසියේ අපරාධ විමර්‍ශන අංශයේ නිලධාරීන් විසින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබේ. සිද්ධියෙන් මියගොස් ඇත්තේ ස්ථිර පදිංචියක් නොමැතිව තැනින් තැන ජීවත් වූ 31 හැවිරිදි පුද්ගලයෙකි. ඔහුගේ මව මියගොස් ඇති අතර, ප්‍රදේශවාසීන්ට විවිධ කරදර හිරිහැර සිදුකිරීම හේතුවෙන් පියා විසින් ඔහුව නිවසින් පලවා හැර තිබූ බව වාර්‍තා වේ. මීට අමතරව, නිකවැරටිය මහේස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණය මඟින් මොහු අත්අඩංගුවට ගැනීම සඳහා මීට පෙර විවෘත වරෙන්තුවක්ද නිකුත් කර තිබූ අයෙකු බව පොලීසිය අනාවරණය කරගෙන ඇත. කොබෙයිගනේ, බද්දේගම ප්‍රදේශයේ පිහිටි වත්තක පොල් ගසක පුද්ගලයෙකු ගැටගසා පහරදී ඇති බවට පොලිසියට ලද හදිසි පණිවිඩයක් මත, පොලිස් කණ්ඩායමක් එම ස්ථානයට ගොස් අදාළ පුද්ගලයා බේරාගැනීමට පියවර ගෙන තිබිණි. එම අවස්ථාවේදී ඔහු හැඳ සිටි ඇඳුම් දැඩි ලෙස මඩ තැවරී අපිරිසිදුව තිබූ අතර, ශරීරය පුරා තුවාල දක්නට ලැබුණු බැවින් පොලිස් නිලධාරීන්ගේ මැදිහත්වීමෙන් ඔහුව නාවා පිරිසිදු කිරීමටද කටයුතු කර ඇත. අනතුරුව පොලිස් භාරයට ගෙන සිරමැදිරියේ රඳවා සිටියදී මොහු හදිසියේ රෝගී තත්ත්වයකට පත්වීම හේතුවෙන් වහාම නිකවැරටිය රෝහලට ඇතුළත් කර තිබේ. එහිදී වැඩිදුර පරීක්ෂණ සහ ප්‍රතිකාර සඳහා කුරුණෑගල ශික්ෂණ රෝහල වෙත මාරු කර යැවූ ඔහු, යළි නිකවැරටිය රෝහලට රැගෙන විත් ප්‍රතිකාර ලබමින් සිටියදී අවසන් හුස්ම හෙළා ඇත. මියගිය අයගේ පශ්චාත් මරණ පරීක්ෂණය නිකවැරටිය රෝහලේදී පැවැත්වීමට නියමිතව තිබූ අතර, අත්අඩංගුවට ගත් සැකකරුවන් සම්බන්ධයෙන් වැඩිදුර විමර්‍ශන මෙහෙයවන කොබෙයිගනේ පොලිසිය ඔවුන් නිකවැරටිය මහේස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණය හමුවට ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට නියමිත වේ. Man Dies After Brutal Assault Linked to Theft Allegation A registered criminal in Sri Lanka succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital after being brutally assaulted by a group, allegedly in connection with a theft. The victim was left wounded by blows to the head with a coconut tree branch. Authorities have since apprehended three suspects aged 25, 23, and 31, linked to this violent incident, which is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Kobeygane Police. The deceased, a 31-year-old man without a fixed residence, faced an unstable life situation. Reports indicate that his mother had passed away, and due to his history of harassment against local residents, he had been expelled from his father’s home. Additionally, it was revealed that an open arrest warrant had been issued against him by the Nikaweratiya Magistrate's Court prior to the incident. Police responded to a distress call concerning the assault on an individual beneath a coconut tree in a location within the Baddegama area. Upon arrival, they took immediate action to rescue the victim. During the intervention, he was found severely soiled and injured, prompting officers to clean him before providing further assistance. After being taken into police custody, the man unexpectedly fell ill and was quickly admitted to Nikaweratiya Hospital. Following initial evaluations, he was transferred to Kurunegala Teaching Hospital for advanced treatment. Unfortunately, he later returned to Nikaweratiya Hospital, where he died while still undergoing care. An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted at Nikaweratiya Hospital, while further investigations into the apprehended suspects are ongoing.
